The Macon Water Authority can not and does not recommend or show preference of one service provider over another -- in those deregulated industries where customers have a choice of services or marketers from which to choose.

Trash/Waste Management
Trash service is billed through the Bibb County Tax Collector's office, no matter if that service is provided within the City of Macon or unincorporated Bibb County. However, for trash collection and service, city residents can contact the City of Macon Public Works Department, while residents of unincorporated Bibb County should contact the Bib County Public Works Department. For commercial trash collection services and billing, customers need to contact a private contractor.
