MWA Executive Director Candidates

The MWA announces two finalists for the vacant Executive Director's position.
After an extensive and rigorous search process, with the help of an outside executive search firm’s expertise, the Macon Water Authority (MWA) Board of Directors is one step closer to filling the position of Executive Director of the Macon Water Authority.
The MWA Board has narrowed its final selection of a chief executive to one of two highly vetted and qualified finalists, who include:
Joseph Leverette, Director of Water Distribution & Wastewater Collections for Gainesville (Florida) Regional Utilities. Leverette has 26 years of management experience with water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities.
Tony Carnell, Deputy Manager of the Henry County (Georgia) Water Authority. Carnell has over 25 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry.
Georgia law requires that the MWA Board wait at least 14 days before making its final selection. Additional information about the finalists is available upon request.
