Hurricane Irma and Macon Water Authority

Sep 10, 2017 by Philippa Hawker

Due to Hurricane Irma approaching Macon-Bibb County over the next 48 hours, our plant and maintenance staff are working to maintain service levels to our customers. With sustained winds expected to be over 40mph for 24 hours, MWA crews will not be working in the field until it is deemed safe to return crews to the field to address service outages. The main office will be closed on Monday, September 11th but our plant and maintenance crews are working to keep the plants operational but crews will not be working in the field.
