Landlord Service Agreement

The Macon Water Authority offers a Landlord Service Agreement to those property owners, specifically landlords of multi-family rental properties, who would like to maintain water and sewer service to their unoccupied units, to avoid reconnection fees every time a unit turns over for a new tenant. 

The MWA will provide continual service to rental units not occupied by tenants, as long as the landlord adheres to the agreement by being responsible for the water service at unoccupied rental units until service is placed under a new tenant's name. 

According to the Landlord Service Agreement, the MWA will waive the $25.00 account establishment fee for property owners/landlords at the time tenants request to have their service disconnected and not immediately transferred to a new tenant.  However, should landlords request that service be disconnected, without transferring it to another tenant, they will be charged the $25.00 account establishment fee.

Either party may cancel this arrangement within 15 days of providing a written notice to the other party.  For those MWA customers interested in establishing a Landlord Service Agreement, you can download, complete, and submit the application below.
