On April 8, the Macon Water Authority dedicated the statue of Frank C. Amerson, Jr. at the water treatment plant that bears his name. The life-size sculpture is the work of local artist Julie McCraney-Brogdon. The dedication ceremony at the Amerson Plant celebrated the vision and leadership provided by the former Chairman, who served the citizens of Macon and Bibb County for 36 years, prior to his death in September of 2012.
