MWA Rate, Fees, and Charges

The following is an overview of ALL rates for customers in Macon/Bibb, Jones, and Monroe Counties.

2010 Rates for Macon/Bibb County Customers

Water Monthly Base Fees for Residential Customers:

  • 5/8" meter = $7.50
  • 1" meter = $10.00
  • 1.5" meter = $22.50
  • 2" meter = $45.00

Consumption Fees for Water:

This base fee, for residential customers, is then multiplied by the water consumption rate of $1.52 per every 100 cubic feet (or 750 gallons) of water consumed up to 300 cubic feet, at which point the rate of $1.62 is applied per 100 cubic feet of consumption over the 300 cubic feet amount.

Water Monthly Base Fees for Non-Residential Customers:

  • 5/8" meter = $7.50
  • 1" meter = $10.00
  • 1.5" meter = $22.50
  • 2" meter = $45.00
  • 3" meter = $67.50
  • 4" meter = $112.50
  • 6" meter = $187.50
  • 8" meter = $300.00
  • 10" meter = $375.00

Consumption Charges for Non-Residential Customers:

Water = $1.62 per CCF

Sewer Base Fees for Macon/Bibb County Customers:

Base fees for sewer services are now determined according to the size of the meter, just like base fees are determined for water use. The base fee for 5/8” residential meters, which is the typical size for an area residence, remains $5.00. However, the base fees for sewer services on all other residential meters are as follows:
5/8" = $5.00
1" = $6.67
1.5" = $15.00
2" = $30.00
3" = $45.00

Sewer Consumption Rates for Macon/Bibb County Customers:

For all rate classes, the consumption charges are currently:

  • $1.61 per CCF for sewer for the first 3 CCF, and $1.71 per CCF for consumption above 3 CCF.

Note: Single Family Residential and Master-Metered Owner Occupied Residential accounts are billed for sewer based on an average monthly consumption of the 8 lowest months of a customer’s usage from the previous year. Well water consumers who are MWA (sewer) customers will have a 25% surcharge added.

Sewer Monthly Base Fees for Non-Residential Customers:

Base fees for sewer service on Non-Residential Customer Accounts are calculated according to meter/service size:

5/8" = $5.00
1" = $6.67
1.5" = $15.00
2" = $30.00
3" = $45.00
4" = $75.00
6" = $125.00
8" = $200.00
10" = $250.00

Consumption Charges for Non-Residential Customers:

Sewer = $1.71 per CCF

Fees for establishing new customer accounts

  • The Application Fee is $20.00.
  • Same Day Service is $30.00.
  • The Meter Fee to replace a stolen or abandoned 5/8" residential meter is $75.00.

Deposits and documentation necessary for new customers to establish service are determined on the credit score of the applicant and the service location experience of the account. Additional fees may apply in the event of special circumstances.

Monthly Base Charges, Residential Sewer:

The Monthly Sewer Base Charge is $15.00.

Consumption Charges, Residential Water:
>4000 gal = $2.71 per 1000 gal

Consumption Charges, Residential Sewer:
>0 gal = $2.60 per 1000 gal

NOTE: Sewer maximum for Jones County Residential customers is $50.00. These are to be the same rates Jones County bills its customers directly.

The Monthly Water Base Charge for Water AND Sewer Service now is calculated according to customer meter/service size.

Water:
5/8" = $15.00
1" = $20.00
1.5" = $45.00
2" = $90.00
3" = $135.00

Sewer:
5/8" = $10.00
1" = $13.34
1.5" = $30.00
2" = $60.00
3" = $90.00

Consumption Charges:
Water:
0-3 CCF = $3.04 per CCF
>3 CCF = $3.24 per CCF

Sewer:
0-3 CCF = $3.22 per CCF
>3 CCF = $3.42 per CCF
